Diamond R Bit: This solid mullen o-ring bit, from Diamond R, is an excellent choice for beginner horses and riders, as well as a gentle option for older, well-behaved horses. The solid mullen mouthpiece prevents the risk of a nutcracker effect. The loose o-ring provides a slight pre-signal from the rein before engaging the mouth, allowing your horse time to respond before pressure is applied. The stainless steel rings are 3″ and the mouth is 7/8″ diameter and it has a 1/2″ high port. The 5″ mouthpiece is copper. Store indoors or in a tack room. Wipe or brush off debris after each use.
